Mrs. Hattie Rains 
  
  Mrs. Hattie Rains, 86, of Pleasant Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 8. 
  
  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 9, in the 
Spring Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alvon Hall 
officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. McDonald. Burial was in the 
Soring Ridge Cemetery. Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home were in 
charge of arrangements. 
  
  Survivors include six sons, Virgil Rains, Nolan Raiins, and 
Gordon Rains, all of Pleasant Hill, Roland Rains of Baton Rouge, 
Bobby Lee Rains of Houma, and Wilmer B. Rains of San Antonio, 
Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Lee Britt of Pleasant Hill, and 
Mrs. Mavis Williamson of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Irene 
Sistrunk, and Mrs. Minnie Bozeman, both of Pleasant Hill; two 
brothers, Clifton Free of Converse, and Dewey Free of Pleasant 
Hill; 21 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
