J. P. Rains

  Funeral services were held for J. P. Rains, 51, of Many, at the
First Baptist Church of Many, Friday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m., with
the Rev. Perry Lassiter, and the Rev. Wayne Reeves officiating.

  Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were John L. McDonald, Hubert Andries, Ancil
DeLatin, Buddy Dees, Benny McNeely, and Willard Dewitt.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Rains of Many; one son,
Dennis Rains of Many; one daughter, Mrs. Beth Small of Many; four
brothers, E. P., and Donnie Rains of Many, Aswell Rains of
Bossier City, and W. A. Rains of San Antonio; four sisters, Mrs.
Hattie Mae Dees of Many, Mrs. Wade Dillard of Mansfield, Mrs.
Blanch Mims of Jasper, and Mrs. Doris Stewart of Jonesboro, and
two grandchildren.
