E. P. (Peck) Rains

  E. P. (Peck) Rains, 59, died Monday morning, Dec. 16, at Many
Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Rains, owner and
operator of Rains Repair Shop in Many, was a lifelong resident of
Sabine Parish.

  He is survived by his widow, Minnie E. Rains; two sons, Dewey D.
Rains of Shreveport, and Earl P. Rains of Many; one daughter,
Mrs. Nettie Katherine Arthur of Many; four sisters, Mrs. Wade
Dillard of Mansfield, Mrs. Blanche Mims of Jasper, Tex., Mrs.
Hattie Mae Dees of Many, and Mrs. Doris Steward of Jonesboro;
three brothers, W. A. Rains of San Antonio, Texas, A. W. Rains of
Bossier City, and Donnie Rains of Florien; and eight
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Fort Jesup Baptist
Church, with burial in Many Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were W. M. Russell, Bill Creed, Billy Maxey, Ellis
Davis, Marshall Estess, and John Varnado.
