The Sabine Index - Mrs. Texarkana Rains

  28 Apr 1944 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Texarkana Rains, age 62
years, were held 2:30 Sunday at the Nazarene church. Rev. M. V.
Dillingham of Shreveport officiated, assisted by Rev. W. V. Neil
of Many.

  Pallbearers were: E. E. Forshee, B. J. Vascoe, Manual Rogers,
Roy Vailes and Luther Maise.

  Surviving are three sons, D. O. Rains of Smackover, Ark., B?
Rains in armed forces overseas, L. C. Rains of Bossier City; four
daughters, Mrs. D. Sliman of Many, Mrs. D. J. Vascoe, Mrs. O. E.
Forshee and Mrs. R. P. Shaw, all of Shreveport; sister, Mrs.
Jennie Pruitt of Anacoco; two brothers, Floyd Tibbit of Leesville
and H. C. Tibbit of Houston, Texas; 21 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.

  Mrs. Rains passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. E.
Forshee of Shreveport, April 21.
