John Rains

  John Franklin Rains, 86, of Marthaville, died in Many, Sunday,
August 7.

  Services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, in the Marthaville Baptist
church, with the Revs. John McAlexander, and Brent Fleming
officiating. Burial was in the Marthaville Cemetery, Drewett
Funeral Home, Mansfield, in charge.

  Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Frankie Latham
of Deer Park, Tex.; one son, Dale Rains of Clinton, S. C.; two
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bardwell of Shreveport, and Mrs. Leola
Osborn of Pleasant Hill; and five grandchildren.
