Aswell W. Rains

  Services for Aswell "Ab" W. Rains, 55, of Bossier City, were
held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 9, at Boone Funeral Home Chapel,
with the Rev. Ted Corley, associate pastor of the Bossier City
First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest
Cemetery.

  Mr. Rains died Thursday, June 7, at his residence. A Marthaville
native, he was a retired employee of Complete Auto Transit.

  Survivors include sons, Dale Rains of Bossier City, and Glenn
Rains of Shreveport; daughters, Ruth Rains of Mansfield, and
Debra McCord of Shreveport; brothers, Donnie Rains of Many, and
W. A. Rains of San Antonio, Tex.; sisters, Mrs. Wade Dillard of
Mansfield, Blanche Mims of Jasper, Tex., Doris Stewart of
Jonesboro, and Hattie M. Dees of Many.
