Rolly R. Rains

  Funeral services for Rolly R. Rains, 80, of Shreveport, were
held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m., in the Wellman Funeral Home
Chapel, with the Rev. J. G. Tipton, pastor of Grawood Baptist
Church, officiating. Burial followed in the Marthaville Cemetery.

  Mr. Rains died Sunday, Feb. 10, in Physicians and Surgeons
Hospital, after a short illness. The Marthaville native had lived
in Shreveport for 25 years. He was a retired real estate agent,
and a Baptist.

  Survivors include his widow, Freddie Rains; five sons, Joe
Rains, Paul Rains, and Roger Rains, all of Dallas, Texas, Jerry
Rains of Marthaville, and Von Rains of Atlanta, Ga.; two
daughters, Marilyn Rains of Dallas, and Martha Bergeron of
Mobile, Ala.; two brothers, Hoyt E. Rains of Shreveport, and Ray
J. Rains of Marthaville; one sister, Vera R. Curry of Shreveport;
eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Arthur Davis, Carl Massey, James Tolar, Harold
Rains, Thurmond Middleton, and William M. Rains.
