Emma Alice Rains

  Mrs. Emma Alice Rains of Marthaville, died Friday, April 1,
1983, at 8 p.m., at the age of 101. Mrs. Rains expired in
Shreveport, after an extended illness.

  Surviving relatives are one daughter, Mary Alice Rains,
Marthaville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rains was a
resident of Marthaville for many, many years.

  Funeral services were held Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m., at the
Marthaville Methodist Church. Burial was at Marthaville Cemetery.
Bro. Abe Connerly, and Rev. Gerald Bishop officiated. Local
arrangements were made with Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Nephews of Mrs. Rains served as pallbearers.
