Amos Alanson Rains

  Mr. Amos Alanson Rains of Shreveport, died in Shreveport on
Saturday, Feb. 16, 1985, at 7:30 a.m. He was 88 years old.

  Funeral services for Mr. Rains were held Sunday, Feb. 17, at
Rocky Springs Baptist Church, at 2 p.m. Rev. Goldman officiated.
Interment was at Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Mr. Rains is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Lillian V. Rains of
Shreveport; one son, Mr. Reede A. Rains of Shreveport; one
brother, Mr. T. L. Rains of Many; one sister, Mrs. Blanche DeBose
of Coushatta; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
