Mrs. Mary LePoint Rains (Photo)

  Services for Mrs. Mary LePoint Rains, 55, of Shreveport, were
held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 2, at Rose-Neath's Southside
Chapel. The Rev. Harrell Shelton, pastor of Mooringsport Baptist
Church, officiated. Burial was at Forest Park West Cemetery.

  Mrs. Rains, a homemaker, died Thursday, July 31, 1986, at
Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness. She was born in
Marthaville, and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past
30 years. She was a member of Kelley Memorial Baptist Church.

  She is survived by her husband, Bruce Rains of Shreveport; one
son, Tommy Joe LePoint of Mooringsport, La.; two sisters, Mrs. H.
C. McAllen of Marthaville, and Mrs. J. L. Dupree of Shreveport;
three grandchildren; three nephews; and three nieces.

  Pallbearers were Max Shaw, Bobby Shaw, Calvin Seago, Joe
Speight, Mike Holomon, and Vince Pace.
