  Amos P. Rains - November 29, 1973

  Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25 in
the Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Bossier City for Amos P. Rains,
51, of Shreveport.

  Mr. Rains died at the Veterans Administration Hospital Friday,
after a long illness.

  A native of Many, he had been a Shreveport resident for 30
years. He was a construction worker.

  Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Wanda Rains, three sons, Michael
Rains, Dale Rains, and Dennis Rains; one daughter Sherial Ann
Rains; one brother T. "Hoot" Rains; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian
Cooper, Mrs. Irene Fletcher and Mrs. Stella Farrar; and a
grandchild, all of Shreveport.

  Wayne Fussell, pastor of Midway Church of Christ officiated the
services.

  Burial was in Forest Park West.

  Pallbearers were Billy Walden, Bob Walden, Lee H. Hilton, Harold
Cooper, Don Farrar and Tommy Duncan.
