All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Vernon Rains Graveside services for Mr. Vernon Rains, 74, of Mansfield, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 15, at Spring Ridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill. The Rev. Bob Miller officiated. Services were under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home Mansfield Chapel. Mr. Rains died Saturday afternoon, May 13, at DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Rains was a native of Marthaville, and had lived in Mansfield since 1945. He was a veteran of WWII, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and a retired machinist for Nabors Trailers. Survivors include his wife, Addie Webb Rains of Mansfield; one daughter, Margaret R. Calvert of Mansfield; two sisters, Gladys Borchers of Florida, and Loyce Norman of California; four brothers, Curtis Rains, and Raborn Rains of Natchitoches, Orlan Rains, and Louis Rains, both of Florida; and one granddaughter, Karl Elizabeth Denison of Mansfield.
