Rains Graveside services were conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Park, for Mr. A. B. Rains, 75, of Bossier City, at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, under the direction of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating was Steve Rains. Mr. Rains entered into rest, Saturday, December 30, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He retired from Arizona, and had been a resident of Bossier City since 1981. He was retired from Philip Dodge Copper Mining Co., in Ajo, Arizona, after 33 years of service. He was a Baptist by faith, and had been affiliate with the Masonic, Moose, and Elk Lodges, and was president of the Skeet Club in Ajo, Arizona. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jean Rains of Bossier City; one son, Hans C. Kern Jr. of Riverside, California; one sister, Lois Berry of Marthaville; two brothers, Devance Rains of Robeline, Slip Rains of Marthaville; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
