Officiating was Rev. Billy Pierce, pastor of Cypress Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Jerry Masters, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in DeRidder. Burial was in Marthaville, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Mr. Rains died Wednesday, November 7, at his residence, following a long illness. He was born in Many, and had been a resident of Bossier City for 38 years. Mr. Rains was a retired truck driver for Southern Electronics, and a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Clarice Moore Rains of Bossier City; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bobby Masters of Benton; two sisters, Estelle Thibodeaux of Ball, La., and Maude Wyatt of Marthaville; one brother, Roscoe Rains of Leesville; three grandchildren, Brandon, Kelly, Holly Masters, all of Benton, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Andy Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, Keith Moore, Gene Wyatt, Donnie Wyatt, and Frank Wyatt.
