Gordon Hamilton Rains (Photo)

  Services for Mr. Gordon Hamilton Rains, 76, were held at 2 p.m.,
Wednesday, December 2, at Springridge Baptist Church. Officiating
was the Rev. E. W. Goldman, and Rev. Don Hagar. Burial was held
in Springridge Cemetery.

  Mr. Rains died Tuesday, December 1, at Sabine Medical Center in
Many.

  He is survived by his wife, Mageline Rains of Pleasant Hill;
three daughters, Peggy Hinson of Shreveport; Shirley Murphy of
Cameron; Mary Lightfoot of Pleasant Hill; three sons, John Neal
of Pleasant Hill, Tommy Neal of Coushatta, and Bob Blankenship of
Shreveport; daughter-in-law, Betty Rains of Many; one sister,
Mavis Williamson of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Nolan Rains of
Pleasant Hill, Roland Rains of Baton Rouge, Bobby Rains of Houma,
and Wilmer Rains of Terry; twenty one grandchildren; fifteen
great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  He is preceded in death by two sons, Bill Blankenship, and
Travis Doyle Rains; one grandson, Coy Hamilton Miller; one
brother, Virgil Rains; one sister, Jennie Lee Britt.
