Cora Rains

  Mrs. Cora Rains, 94, of Marthaville, died Friday, Jan. 27, in a
local hospital, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 29, in the Rocky Springs
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Kay, and the Rev. H. H.
Tibbitts officiating. Burial was in the Marthaville Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include three sons, G. L. Rains, and Amos A. Rains,
both of Shreveport, T. L. Rains of Many; one daughter, Mrs. L. N.
DeBose of Coushatta; three sisters, Evie Rains, Mrs. Celeste
Farmer, and Mrs. Lizzie Rains, all of Marthaville; nine
grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Mark Hornsby, DeVance Rains, Mack DeBose, Reede
Rains, Jerry Salter, and Dick Neely.
