Mrs. Jim Rains

  Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m., at the
Bayou Scie Methodist Church, for Mrs. Jim Rains. Interment was in
the Bayou Scie Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Mrs. Rains, 84, of Zwolle, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Zwolle,
after an extended illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Jim Rains of Zwolle; five sons,
Jim Seale Rains of Lake Charles, Joe J. Rains, H. L. Rains, and
Clyde Rains, all of Zwolle, and Gordon Lewis Rains of Washington
D. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Skinner of Zwolle, and Mrs.
Luther Cooper of Huntsville, Tex.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Cecil Tooke, J. M. Adair, O. W. Barr, Robert
Adair, Tramel Cooper, and Lewis Pruitt.
