B. D. Rains

  Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 6, for B. D. Rains, 86,
of Marthaville, who died suddenly, Saturday, Dec. 5. The Rev.
Alvin Roberts, the Rev. Clarence Burley, and the Rev. Norman
Moody officiated at the 3 p.m. services, which were held in the
Marthaville Baptist Church. Interment was in the Marthaville
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many.

  Pallbearers were Jack Cunningham, Harold Rains, Mike Rains, Von
Rains, Joe Rains, Julian Glaspie, Jerry Rains, and Dave Rains.

  Mr. Rains is survived by his wife, Mrs. B. D. Rains of
Marthaville; one daughter, Miss Mary Alice Rains of Marthaville;
four brothers, Ray Rains of Marthaville, Roy, Hoyt, and Raliegh
Rains of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Curry of
Shreveport, Mrs. M. J. Kissick, and Miss Delia Mae Rains of
Marthaville.
