Johnnie J. Rains

  Funeral services for Johnnie J. Rains, age 50, who died Sept. 2,
were conducted at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 3 p.m., Sept. 4,
with Rev. B. J. Tidwell officiating. Interment was at Mt. Zion
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were nephews.

  Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Alice Rains of Shreveport; four
daughters, Mrs. James R. Arms of Green, S. C., Mrs. Wayne Yates,
and Mrs. Talmadge Bell, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Jimmie Newman of
Lake Worth, Fla.; two sons, Charles Rains of Grady, Ark., Truman
Rains of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Floyd Cooper, Mrs. Irene
Fletcher, Mrs. T. W. Farrar, Mrs. Johnnie Hermes, all of
Shreveport; two brothers, Hoot, and Amos Rains, both of
Shreveport.
