Mrs. Mattie T. Rains

  Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie T. Rains, age 81, who died Jan.
7, were conducted at Hemphill First Baptist Church, at 2:30 p.m.,
Jan. 8, with Rev. Clarence Howell, and Rev. William T. Love
officiating. Interment was in Hemphill Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were her grandsons.

  Survivors are her husband, E. A. Rains of Hemphill; three sons,
V. J., and W. C. Vickers of Zwolle, W. B. Coleson of Call, Tex.;
two daughters, Mrs. Bessie May Nickerson, and Mrs. George Lee
Patterson, both of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Myrtie Rains of
Pleasant Hill; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
