Joe E. Remedes

  Mr. Joe E. Remedes died at the age of 97, at Centenary Heritage
Manor in Shreveport, on Dec. 26, 1987.

  Services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, on Dec. 29, at
10 a.m., with Father Earl Provenza officiating. Burial was at St.
Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Survivors include four sons, George J. Remedes of Smithville, R.
I., James H. Remedes, and Chester P. Remedes, both of Shreveport,
and Raymond A. Remedes of Zwolle; six daughters, Irene Minch, and
Angie Minch, both of Gas City, Ind., Verna Garcie, and Elvie
Ebarb, both of Zwolle, Selena Ebarb of Shreveport, and Lillie
Coleman of Benton; 42 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; and
11 great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers included Freddie Ezernack, Steve Remedes, Todd
Remedes, Charles Wayne Williamson, Paul Minch, Glen Ebarb, Jeff
Ebarb, Norman Remedes, and Mike Huckaby.
