Mrs. Susan Edwards Remedies

  Mrs. Susan Edwards Remedies died at LSU Medical Center in
Shreveport, on Wednesday, May 23. She was 79.

  Funeral services were held at St. John's Catholic Church in
Many, on Friday, May 25, at 2 p.m., with Father Kenneth Williams
presiding. Burial followed in the St. John Cemetery, under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  She was preceded in death by a son, George Wills Remedies; two
grandsons, George Michael Remedies, and Carl Schroeder; and a
granddaughter, Janet Loise Remedies.

  Survivors include her husband, George Remedies of Many; eight
sons, Larry, and Thomas Remedies, both of DeQuincy; Ben Remedies
of Many, Gene Remedies of Fort Jesup, Gerald Remedies, and John
Remedies of Shreveport, Robert Remedies of Muscle Shoals, Ala.,
and Victor Reyes of Many; five daughters, Ardell Root, and
Verline Melton, both of Bossier City, Theresa Wildes, and Dorothy
Schevers, both of Shreveport, and Mary Brock of Three Rivers,
Michigan; 45 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 8
great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were David Hudson, Danny Schevers, John Wayne
Remedies, Boyce Cartwell, Victor Reyes, and Jeff Garbert.
