Randolph Joel Edward Randolph, 63, of Shreveport, died Aug. 15, at 3:30 p.m., in Willis-Knighton Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Many, and had lived in Shreveport since 1944. He had formerly lived in Marthaville, and was a member of the Barron Road Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Aug. 17, in Barron Road Baptist Church. The Rev. Jimmy Lilly, pastor, the Rev. Thomas Cobb, and the Rev. Rodney Duron officiated. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery near Converse. Survivors include four sons, Andrew Randolph, Thurman Randolph, and Emmett Randolph, all of Shreveport, Buford Randolph of Mansfield; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Singletary of Marthaville, Mrs. Dorothy Hill of Vidalia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Taylor of Mitchell, Mrs. Timpie Busby of Florien; and two brothers, Monroe Randolph of Florien, and Lester Randolph of Mooringsport. Pallbearers were Alfred Hudson, R. J. Bush, Sam Procell, Raymond Sibley, William Redding, and Milburn Bowers.
