Arlene Peterson Rountree (Photo)

  Services for Mrs. Arlene Peterson Rountree, 68, of Shreveport,
were held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 20, at Rose-Neath's Marshall
St. Chapel. Dr. George Pearce, Jr., associate pastor of Broadmoor
United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was at Forest Park.

  Mrs. Rountree passed away Saturday, August 18, 1984, at her
residence, after a sudden illness.

  A native of Many, La., and a resident of Shreveport for 30
years, Mrs. Rountree was a retired partner of Lucy Ann Sales Co.
She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Mrs.
Rountree was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Rountree.

  She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dave Peterson of Many, La.;
one son, Mr. James Douglas Rountree of Shreveport; one daughter,
Mrs. Fred (Sandra) Loy of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Mrs. Archie
Alford of Many, La., Mrs. H. B. Walters of Coushatta, La., Mrs.
Roy Jackson of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Winnie Sliman of
Natchitoches, La.; brothers, Mr. S. D. Peterson of Florien, La.,
Mr. Floyd G. Peterson, and Mr. Garland E. Peterson, both of Many,
La.; grandchildren, Leslie Loy, Cliff Loy, Stephen Loy, Catharine
Rountree, and Miller Rountree.

  Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
