Dr. George Pearce, Jr., associate pastor of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was at Forest Park. Mrs. Rountree passed away Saturday, August 18, 1984, at her residence, after a sudden illness. A native of Many, La., and a resident of Shreveport for 30 years, Mrs. Rountree was a retired partner of Lucy Ann Sales Co. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rountree was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Rountree. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dave Peterson of Many, La.; one son, Mr. James Douglas Rountree of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Sandra) Loy of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Mrs. Archie Alford of Many, La., Mrs. H. B. Walters of Coushatta, La., Mrs. Roy Jackson of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Winnie Sliman of Natchitoches, La.; brothers, Mr. S. D. Peterson of Florien, La., Mr. Floyd G. Peterson, and Mr. Garland E. Peterson, both of Many, La.; grandchildren, Leslie Loy, Cliff Loy, Stephen Loy, Catharine Rountree, and Miller Rountree. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
