Rainer Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, for R. C. Rainer, 76, of 213 W. 74th St., who died Tuesday at the Shreveport Manor Nursing Home. He had lived in Shreveport 50 years, and was a native of Sabine Parish. He was a retired carpenter, and a member of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow; three sons, J. T. Rainer and Billy W. Rainer, both of Shreveport, and H. C. Rainer of Sarepta; three daughters, Mrs. H. W. Russell of Many, Mrs. M. G. McGowen of Shreveport, and Mrs. Van B. Fields of Houston; five brothers, W. L. Rainer, T. E. Rainer, and C. O. Rainer, all of Shreveport, J. C. Rainer of Keithville, and W. M. Rainer of Cove, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Wendell Hale of Lake Charles, seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. John Winn, pastor of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church, officiated at the services. Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. at the Bayou Scie Cemetery near Zwolle. Pallbearers were Dewey Rainer, Carlton Gentry, Wayne Mills, Wilbert Russell, J. C. Rainer, and Lloyd Rainer.
