All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** John Curtis Rainer, Sr. (Photo) Services for John Curtis Rainer, Sr., 82, of Keithville, will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 10, at 2:30 p.m., at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport. The Rev. John Williams, pastor of Keithville Methodist Church, The Rev. Clint Davis, pastor of Haynes Ave. Baptist church, and the Rev. Bill Stowell, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Ave., in Shreveport. Mr. Rainer died at 7 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1985, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, after a short illness. He was born in Zwolle, and had lived in Shreveport for 67 years. He was retired from Libbey Owens Glass Co., after some 44 years of service, and was a member of the Keithville Methodist Church, the Landmark Masonic Lodge in Keithville, and the Fox Hunters Club. He had served for 28 years as a Justice of the Peace in Caddo Parish. Mr. Rainer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie M. Rainer of Keithville; two sons, John C. Rainer, Jr. of Noble, and Larry Rainer of Midland, Texas; four daughters, Nelda Faye Carter of Jacksonville, Fla., Frances Brossette, Dottie Oden, Betty Lee Ayers, all of Shreveport; one brother, W. L. Rainer, Shreveport; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
