Carrol Bradford, and the Rev. Fines Corie officiating. Mr. Roark died Thursday, Oct. 12, at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena. He was born in Nichel, La., on July 13, 1919. He resided in Many before moving to Summerville. While a Many resident, Mr. Roark was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sabine Chapter 171, Order of Eastern Star, and was Past Master of Many Masonic Lodge 411 F&AM. He was also a member of the El Karubah Shrine, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Shelton Roark of Thibodeaux, Tommy and Pam Roark of Shreveport, Phillip and Debbie Roark of Many, and Richard and Donna Roark of Fairview, Tex.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Norman Booker of Many, and Evelyn and Robert Armour of Natchitoches; thirteen grandchildren, Sonya and husband Sam Crist, Brook, Leslie Trenton, Lana, Tyler, and Tanner Roark, Norman Booker III and wife Cala, Jay Booker, Stephen, and Erin Booker, and Renee, and Lee Erickson, Robert, and Ashley Armour; one great granddaughter, Hailey Crist; two sisters, Alma Frazier of Jena, and Fay Berton of Good Pine; and one brother, Richard M. Roark of Summerville.
