Mrs. Melvin H. Shaw

  Funeral services for Mrs. Melvin H. (Audrey Lee) Shaw, 62, of
Many, were held Sunday, May 19, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral
Home in Natchitoches.

  The Rev. Bill Murphy, and Jimmy Evans officiated. Burial was in
Calvary Cemetery.

  Mrs. Shaw died Friday, May 17, at her residence.

  A native of Oakdale, she was reared at the Louisiana Baptist
Children's Home in Monroe, and was a retired school teacher,
having taught at Springhill, and Starks High School. She was a
member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Florien, and the Retired
Teachers Association.

  Survivors, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Deborah
Lynn Holmes of Lake Charles; four sisters, Mildred Lindsey of
Natchitoches, Viola Reed of Oakdale, Vidalia Wills of Pollock,
and Alpha Chadick of Slidell; and one granddaughter, Hollie Erin
Holmes of Lake Charles.
