Mrs. Obra Virginia Shaw

  Services for Mrs. Obra Virginia Shaw, 81, were held at 1 p.m.,
Wednesday, July 3, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating
was Rev. Robert Besser of Dallas, Texas. Burial was held at
Forest Park West Cemetery.

  Mrs. Shaw died Monday, July 1, at her residence, following a
lengthy illness. She was born in Hornbeck, La., and had been a
resident of Shreveport most of her life. Mrs. Shaw was a
housewife, and a member of Work of Life Center.

  She is survived by her husband, Jessie M. Shaw of Shreveport;
three sons, Curtis Shaw Sr. and wife, Susie of Greenwood, La.,
Earnest Shaw, and Patrick Shaw and wife Carol, all of Shreveport;
two brothers, Clarence Brown of Carthage, Texas, and Homer Brown
of Hornbeck, La.; one sister, Ruby Waldroup of Kirbyville, Texas;
six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and
nephews.

  Pallbearers were grandsons.
