Services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Many, on April 2, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Louis Coppage officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Scaife was a native of Donaldsonville, La., and a resident of Many for 35 years, a member of Many First United Methodist Church, and past president of United Methodist Women. She is survived by two step daughters, Mrs. Mayme Lea Boyd of Shreveport, and Mrs. Jessie Mae Dowling of Shreveport; one brother, Jack Babin of Donaldsonville; one sister, Mrs. Alma LeBlanc of Metairie; three step grandsons, Charles S. Boyd, James S. Dowling, and John W. Dowling, all of Shreveport; six step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Boots Hayes, Gaylor Phares, Truman Alford, John W. Dowling, James S. Dowling, Charles S. Boyd, Tommy LeBlanc, and honorary pallbearers, T. W. James, and Glen Phares. The family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Many.
