Willie M. Shipp

  Funeral services for Willie M. Shipp, 66, of DeRidder, were held
Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at 11 a.m., in the Beauregard-Vernon
Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Lawrence Hidalgo.
Interment was at Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder, under the
direction of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home in DeRidder.

  Mr. Shipp passed away Friday, Nov. 29, at his residence in
DeRidder. He was a native of DeRidder, a veteran of the U.S.
Army, serving during the Korean conflict, a retired heavy
equipment operator in pipeline construction, and he was a member
of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

  He is survived by one son, Roger Dale Shipp of DeRidder; two
daughters, Theresa Morrow of Arkansas, and Shari Lynn Jones of
North Carolina; one brother, J. K. Shipp of Many; and one sister,
Tenis Shirley Sexton of DeRidder.
