Joseph W. Speight

  Joseph W. Spight, 79, of Many died at his residence Jan. 17, at 2:15
p.m. after a short illness.

  Mr. Speight is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elma Speight of Many;
three sons, J. W. Speight, Jr. of Oasadena, Tex., Ellery Speight of
Garland, Tex. and Kenneth Speight of Hemphill, Tex; three daughters,
Mrs. Pat Weaver of Pleasant Hill, Miss Lynn Speight of Lake Charles
and Mrs. Marvia Ferguson of Many; Two brothers, S. J. Speight of Many,
and Wyatt Speight of Zwolle; Three sisters, Mrs. Sally Ward, Mrs.
Lillian Arthur, and Mrs. Janie Oxley, all of Many; 23 grandchildren
and 16 great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Little Flock Baptist Church Monday,
Jan 19, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ott, Jr., and the Rev. J. P. King
officiating. Interment was in the Little Flock Cemetery under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
