  Sidney Johnson Speight - February 11, 1988

  Services or Mr. Sidney Johnson Speight, 82, of Many were held at
10 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, at Little Flock Baptist Church in
Negreet. The Rev. Elsie Walker, the Rev. Larry Tyler and the Rev.
Howard Arnold officiated. Burial was at Little Flock Cemetery
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Mr. Speight died Saturday, Feb. 4, 1988 at Natchitoches Parish
Hospital in Natchitoches, he was a 50 year member of Little Flock
Masonic Lodge.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Speight of Many; a son,
Sidney Joe Speight of Many; six daughters, Ramona Waller of New
Caney, Tx., Marjorie Bailey of Mesquite, Tx., Jimmie Farris of
Picayune, Miss., Rose Molen of Kountze, Tx., Barbara Remedies of
Many, Charlene Conacher of Leesville, 18 grandchildren and 16
great grandchildren, three sisters, Lillian Arthur, Janie Oxley
and Sally Ward, all of Many, one brother, Wyatt Speight of
Zwolle, La.
