  Robert Sidney Speight

  Mr. Robert Sidney Speight, 87, of Many, died at his residence on
Saturday, Aug. 27, 1988.

  Services were held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at 1 p.m. on
Monday, Aug. 29 with Rev. Glen Marr and Rev. Hoy Leach
officiating. Burial was at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Speight was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Eula
Speight.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie C. Speight of Many; two
sons, Lelan D. Speight of Jay, Okla., and Robert O. Speight of
Karnack, Tx.; one daughter, Glennis Owens of Rochester, New York;
four sisters, Mable Speights, Annie Peach, Mildred Smith and
Pearl McMillian, all of Many; 14 grandchildren, 24 great
grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

  Pallbearers included Max Nichols, Jack Goss, Douglas Speight;
Robert Speight, Larry Speight, Roby Speight, Bobby Smith and
David McMillian.
