E. E. Walker. Burial followed in McComic Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Speight, a resident of Toledo Nursing Center in Zwolle, died on Friday, May 12. He was 80. Born on August 31, 1914, in Sabine Parish, he was the son of Janie Langham and Joseph Speight. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Corkey Sandel of Bryan, Tex.; two grandchildren, Sheri and Jody Sandel, both of Bryan, Tex.; three great grandchildren, Clint, Amy, and Melissa Arnold, all of Bryan, Tex.; and three sisters, Lillian Arthur, Janie Oxley, and Sally Ward, all of Many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Lou Speight; and a brother, Sidney Speight.
