Speight, 67, died Saturday, Feb. 19, at 7:10 a.m., after an extended illness. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. A. A. Speight of Florien; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Vencent of Houston, and Mrs. Wilda Foley of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Walker, and Sid Speight, both of Many, and Wyatt Speight of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Ward of Silsbee, and Mrs. Lillian Arthur of Florien; and six grandchildren. Services were held in the Little Flock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Jenkins, and the Rev. Billy Fuller officiating. Burial was in the Little Flock Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Rudolph Stringer, Norman Knippers, Charles Oxley, Edgar Arthur, Hoy Lee, and Elry Ferguson.
