Sibley Benjamin Sibley, known to his friends as "Pepper", died on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 12:45 in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mansfield. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lula Johnson of Monroe, and Mrs. Ida S. Pugh of Many; 2 brothers-in-law, Deacon Thomas R. Pugh, and Mr. Collins Johnson; 1 niece, Mrs. Bessie Collins of Los Angeles, Calif.; 7 nephews, 3 grand nephews, 10 great grand nieces, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Bethel Baptist Church, at 1 p.m. Burial was in the New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of the Thomas Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Lere Aldredge, L. S. Barrett, James Harris, Harold O. Nelson, Willard Palmer, Efferson McClanahan, and Fern Woods. Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons of the Bethel Baptist Church.
