Walter Savell

  Walter E. Savell, 72, of Hemphill, Tex., died thursday, Jan. 1.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, in Prospect Methodist
Church, with the Rev. Percy Bailey officiating. Burial was in
Prospect Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; three sons, Vernon W. Savell of
Beaumont, Roy W. Savell of Kirbeyville, and Frankie L. Hudson of
New Iberia, La.; four daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Aldredge of
Lufkin, Mrs. Lillie Bell VanBrocklin of Villae Mills, Mrs. Brenda
Davis of Bartow, Fla., and Mrs. Jeannie Dubose of Nederland; 25
grandchildren, and one great grandchild; four brothers, John
Savell of Starks, La., Ernest Savell of Bronson, Herman Savell of
Thibodeaux, La., Leo Savell of Waco; two sisters, Mae Bell
Gilcrease of Hemphill, and Altha Dew of Hornbeck, La.
