The Sabine Index - Elias Sibley

  8 Feb 1946 - Funeral rites for Elias Sibley, age 78 years,
were held at 11o'clock Tuesday from Bethel colored Baptist
church.

  Survivors are: three sons, Robert of Many, Ben and Howard
Sibley of Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Zena Nelson, Kansas City,
Mo., Mrs. Lula Johnson, Monroe, Mrs. Ida Pugh, Many, and Mrs.
Telete Sibley, Ruston; and widow, Mrs. Rhoda Sibley of Many.

  Elias worked for many years with the Stille brothers,
afterwards for Watler Stille and served in the mail service for
30 yeas.

  Mrs. Nabours was a sister-in-law of the late G. L. Nabours
of Many.
