Richard Thomas Savell Sr.

  Graveside services for Mr. Richard Thomas Savell Sr., 93, of
Sarepta, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, at Bayou Scie
Cemetery near Zwolle, La. Arrangements are under the direction of
Bailey Mortuary in Springhill, La.

  Mr. Savell died Sunday, June 14, 1987, at Doctors Hospital in
Shreveport, following a short illness. He was a resident of
Sarepta for the past seven years. He was a former resident of
Shreveport, was a retired employee of Libby Owens Glass Factory,
a member of the Woodsmen of the World, and a Methodist.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mittie Lou Savell;
and by three children, Richard Thomas Savell Jr., Mrs. Irene Roy,
and Mrs. Marie Jofforin.

  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Nell Stanford of Sarepta;
one son, Mr. Alvin Savell of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Alma
Bennett of Many; two half brothers, Mr. Rufus Savell of Zwolle,
and Mr. Hartsell Savell of Little Rock, Ark.; 16 grandchildren;
and 26 great grandchildren.
