Sibley, 72, of Many, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, 1996, at Bayou Scie United Methodist Church. The Revs. Hulen Warren, and George McVay officiated. Burial followed in Bethsadia Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Sibley died Monday, Feb. 19, at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport. He was born in Many on March 6, 1923, to Ellis Kirkland Sibley, and Bessie Wilson. He was a retired supervisor with Texaco Petroleum, a former member of the Gonzales Lions Club, and a very active member of the Bayou Scie Methodist Church in Many. Survivors include his wife, Inez C. Sibley of Many; three children, Linda Ward (husband Bob) of London, England, Vivian Forsyth (husband Mark) of Gonzales, and Mary Sheets (husband Keith) of Gonzales. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five sisters, Helen Lehr of Zwolle, Clara Anders of Robeline, Frankie Piscatelli of Buquerque, N. M., Elsie Carter of Many, and Kitty Genuardi of Nederland, Texas; one brother, Ellis Ray Sibley of Lufkin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
