Officiating was Rev. Max McGough. Interment was in Pendleton Cemetery, under the direction of Les Fontaine Funeral Home. Mr. Savell died from injuries received in an offshore accident, Saturday, Jan. 18. He grew up attending Pendleton Assembly of God Church, and was presently attending Many Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from Negreet High School, and was employed with Global Marine Drilling Company. Rogers greatest joy in life was enjoying his two children. Mr. Savell was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar "Bubba" Savell; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Savell. He is survived by his wife, Sherri Savell; one son, Acie Jerrel Savell; one daughter, Ashlyn Gail Savell, all of Many; two half brothers, Will, and Luke Savell of Many; two stepbrothers, Gilbert Rasch of Many, and Lance Rasch of Wells, Texas; one sister, Nona Cook of Longview, Texas; 2 stepsisters, Kim Dewvall of Many, and Leslie Sullivan of Irving, Texas. He is also survived by his parents, father, Edgar Dale Savell and wife Jessie of Longview; mother Marcia Rasch and husband Don of Many. Pallbearers were Jason Beasley, Stafford Miller, Patrick McLendon, Keith Belcher, Elton Savell, Kenneth Dewvall, Dannis Rogers, and Brian Guay.
