James Savell

  James Savell, 87, died Friday, March 12, at his home in
Hemphill, Tex.

  Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13, at 1:30 p.m., in
Florien. Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery, under the direction
of the Starr Funeral Home.

  Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. L. E. Dew of Hornbeck, La.,
and Mrs. Mabel Gilcrease of Hemphill; five sons, Walter Savell of
Nederland, John Savell of Starks, Ernest Savell of Bronson, Tex.,
Leo Savell of Beaumont, and Herman Savell, Thibodaux; two
brothers, Levi Savell of Gandy, and Walter Savell of Hornbeck;
one sister, Mrs. Callie Arnold of Negreet; 35 grandchildren; and
12 great grandchildren.
