He died in Noble Friday, March 18, at 3:15 p.m., after an extended illness. Survivors are his wife; four sons, Walter, Stevie, Ernest, all of Zwolle, and Clifton of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. L. C. Campbell, Mrs. Sam Meshell, Mrs. Willie Meshell, Mrs. T. J. Meshell, all of Noble, and Mrs. L. F. Poklvda of Raceland; one sister, Mrs. Josie Manshack of Converse; three brothers, Frank of Zwolle, and Sevada, and George, both of Noble; 37 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren. Services were held in the St. Ann Catholic Church, with the Father William Pierce officiating. Burial was in the St. Ann Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Dewitt Meshell, Wayne Meshell, Glenn Sepulvado, Samuel Meshell, J. W. Sepulvado, and Jimmy Weatly.
