Spangler, 28, of Kisatchie, died at 8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, following a short illness. Spangler graduated from Provencal High School, and entered the Army. After he was honorably discharged from the service, he went to work at Fort Polk, in the air conditioning and refrigeration department, in the Engineer Shop. Funeral services were held at the Mora Baptist Church on Sunday, June 15, at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Mora Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Spangler of Simpson; his mother, Mrs. Irva June Henry of Many; his stepfather, Mr. Joe Henry of Many; his father, William C. Spangler of Kisatchie; a half brother, Joe DeWayne Henry of Many; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Susie Brady of Mora.
