The Rev. Allen W. Lawrence officiated, assisted by the Rev. Elmer Pinder. Burial was at Old Sarepta Cemetery. Mr. Spear, a native of Coushatta, La., and a resident of Bossier City for 16 years, died Monday, May 12, 1986, In Shreveport, after a long illness. Mr. Spear was a former employee of Anti-Pest Co., for 16 1/2 years, and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Lloyd Spear of Bossier City; three brothers, Oscar Allen Spear, and Amos Wesley Spear of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Nellie Ruth Martin of Princeton, La., Leona Hill of Converse, La., and Bernice Hester of Coushatta, La. Pallbearers were Mike Martin, Danny Waters, Johnny Barbo, Landry Trotter, Gaylon Trotter, and Curtis Lloyd.
