Roy Spears

  Roy Spears of Atlanta, Tex., 74, died Saturday, Sept. 9, in a
local hospital, after a short illness.

  Services were held at 4 p.m., in the Hanner Chapel, with the
Rev. Joe Shrygley officiating. Burial was Monday, Sept. 11, in
Pinecrest Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow, Gladys Spears; one daughter, Evelyn
Jester of Atlanta, two sons, Roy E. Spears of Longview, and
Dennis M. Spears of New Boston; two sisters, Edna James of
Hornbeck, and Jewell Copeland of Many; six brothers, Dewey Spears
of Abilene, Crawford Spears, and Fred Spears, both of Smackover,
Ark., Harvey Spears of El Dorado, Ark., Dewitt Spears of
Hornbeck, and Glynn Spears of Alabama; and 10 grandchildren.
