Alfred Louis Spears

  Funeral services for Alfred Louis Spears, 84, of Florien, were
held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1996, at 1:30 p.m., at the First Baptist
Church in Hornbeck. Officiating was Rev. Bobbie McCullough.
Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Spears died Sunday, Dec. 8, at Sabine Medical Center.

  He is survived by his wife, Winnie P. Spears of Florien; three
sons, Terry Wayne Spears of Sugarland, Texas, James Alfred Spears
of Nashville, Tenn., and Larry Charles Spears of Alabama; one
daughter, Rachel Pearl Farris of Many; one stepdaughter, Otha
Harr of Florien; one sister, Maxine Byrd of Shreveport; two
brothers, A. J. Spears of Shreveport, and Clarence Spears of
Hornbeck; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Greg Spears, Cody Spears, Tom Harr, Ronnie
Farris, Bobby Farris, Randy Farris, and Wesley Farris.
