Sparks, 44, of Robeline, were held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at 10 a.m., at the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis. Officiating was Rev. Betty Dew, Rev. J. D. McNeal, and Rev. Eddie Edwards. Interment was at Central Cemetery in Robeline, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Sparks died Monday, Jan. 6, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a native of Pineland, Texas, and a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, and a cattleman. Mr. Sparks is survived by his wife, Angelia L. Sparks of Robeline; one son, Michael G. Sparks; one daughter, Monica L. Sparks; and mother, Wilma O. Sparks, all of Robeline; two sisters, Mary L. Strickland of Marthaville, and Laura J. Pleasant of Saline; four brothers, "Bo" Sparks of Many, Donald L. Sparks of Robeline, John C. Sparks of Natchitoches, and David "Red" Sparks of Robeline. Pallbearers were Charles "Bo" Sparks, Donald L. Sparks, John C. Sparks, David "Red" Sparks, Waymon Pleasant, and Gary Clark. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Freeman, Mark Stubblefield, Allen McNeal, Billy LaCour, Rodney Boswell, Toby Brazzel, Terry Lambert, Tony Lodrige, and Eric Dubois.
