Speerly - January 7, 1988 Mr. Raymond P. Speerly of Many, died at the age of 67 on Dec. 29, 1987 in Alexandria, La. Mr. Speerly was a retired employee of Caterpillar, Inc. and was a member of the American Legion Post #475 of Oswego, Ill., A. F. & A.M. Morton Lodge of Morton, Ill., Quality Assurance Engineering Assoc., SPARC and also served in World War II in Asia and Pacific conflicts. He was a member of the Christian Church of Mackinaw, Ill. Private interment at a later date was arranged in Marion, Ill. Local arrangements were under the direction of Boon Funeral Home of Bossier City, La. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy R. Speerly of Many, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Susan R. Smith of Daingerfield, Tex., two sons, Ray Dean Speerly of Little Rock, Ark. And Lister F. Speerly of Kissimmee, Fla.; three brothers, Ernest F. Speerly of Port Rickey, Fla., Kenneth E. Speerly of Morton, Ill. And Ralph Calvin Speerly of Washington, Ill.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Speerly.
